Advanced NT Security Explorer allows NT system administrators to find holes in system security. It analyzes user password hashes and tries to recover plain-text passwords. If a password can be recovered in a reasonable amount of time, it should be considered insecure and should be changed. Advanced NT Security Explorer can also be used to recover users' lost passwords.
